Ingimar Einarsson is an Icelandic multidisciplinary artist and designer based in London, whose practice spans drawing, photography, sculpture, and applied design. Born in Reykjavik in 1988, he graduated from Chelsea College of Art and Design with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2011. During his studies, he spent a semester at the Department of Experimental Art at the China Academy of Art in Hangzhou, China. Working across fine art and commercial contexts, his work is characterised by a rigorous attention to geometry, light, and the visual grammar of urban environments. He first gained wider recognition through The Capital Series, an ambitious body of photographic montages drawn from the architecture of 52 European capitals, produced between 2011 and 2016.

Alongside his studio practice, he has undertaken significant applied commissions, including bespoke rug artworks for private residences in London and Bahrain. He contributed to I Heard the Light at Salone del Mobile with Moooi in Milan (2019) and to the Nordic Collection presented with Front, Note, and Luca Nichetto at Moooi Stockholm. He has also donated artwork to the Quadrille Ball in New York, an annual charity gala held at The Plaza Hotel that raises funds for German-American student exchange scholarships. He has been nominated for the Clyde & Co Community Art Award and has received project grants from CCP GAMES and Iceland Air in support of his ongoing practice.
